CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP
PROFESSIONAL
MEMBERSHIP
A Professional
Member must be employed in the area of substance abuse prevention/education or
must devote at least ten percent (10%) of the time to activities related to
substance abuse prevention/education either directly or in a supervisory
capacity.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
An associate member
formerly served as a substance abuse/prevention/education coordinator; does not
meet the requirements of Professional Membership; persons who are or have been
engaged in work contributing to a school’s substance abuse prevention/education
may also become Associate Members; shall enjoy all privileges of the Association.
HONORARY MEMBERSHIP
An Honorary Member
may be voted into the Association, for exceptional meritorious service to the
nation, state, or local prevention/education efforts, upon the recommendation
of the Executive Committee and a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the membership in
attendance at any regular meeting of the Association; shall pay no dues and
hold no elected office.
RETIREE MEMBERSHIP
A Retiree Member,
upon retirement, held or qualified for LASDFSC Membership; shall pay one-half
(1/2) of the annual dues of membership; shall enjoy all privileges of the
Association.
