ABOUT US

Welcome to the Louisiana Association of Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities. Our organization is comprised of dedicated prevention professionals serving schools and communities across the State of Louisiana. The purpose of our organization is to advance the professional development of SDFSC prevention personnel, and encourage networking, empowerment and collaboration among our members. Indeed, effective alcohol, drug and violence prevention cannot occur in a vacuum and our organization seeks to create an atmosphere in which the exchange of ideas among prevention professionals serves to promote the creation of safe and drug free schools statewide.

In addition to the above goals, our organization also seeks to establish a clearinghouse for funding, technical assistance and resources which enhance SDFSC programs. With that purpose in mind, this website will serve as a tool, providing links to updated news items and other resources of importance to prevention professionals.
